A list of items I used today are,
Terri Sproul Shimmers Mixers
in these colors:
Green
Tanzanite
Purple
Smokey Quartz
Violet
Citrine
3D Crystal Lacquer
Rubbing Alcohol
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist

I prepped my canvas with my mixed media supplies
glued down and painted with white gesso.
Then I was ready to paint with Terri Sproul Mixers.
I thought it would be interesting to see how these
mixers would perform with a spray gun.

I prepared my mixers for the gun with Alcohol. I filled separate
containers three quarters full and added the smallest amount of
mixers to see how the mixers would look.
Once I was satisfied with the color I prepped my gun
with smaller amounts of color on a scrap
paper before spraying on my canvas.

I heat set between each color.

Mixed up a little green mixer.

As I was trying to achieve different colors
I mixed the shimmer mixer colors together.

Lastly I sprayed the edges with
Tattered Angels Cork Glimmer Mist.
Here are my final images.

My final picture shows the vintage lady with Terri Sproul Mixers
mixed with 3D Crystal Lacquer painted on her hair.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I enjoyed making it!

Mixed Media With Sakura 3D Crystal Laquer and Terri Sproul Shimmer Mixers

I am new to the Sakura Hobby Craft

This is my first time using these wonderful products
and I have to say it couldn't be any easier!

Today Terri Sproul Mixer Shimmer Mica Color Sets are on Sale 20% off .
Just use the code "Shimmer03"

A list of items I used today are,
StazOn Jet Black
Acetate (packaging)
Stamps
3D Crystal Lacquer
Terri Sproul's Shimmer Mica Color Set
-Tanzanite
-Red
-Citrine
-Purple
-Green
-Smokey Quartz
-Pink Sapphire
-Violet
-Garnet

The first thing I did with my mixers is paint a butterfly to put on top of each pot.

Today I chose to make a focal image for my mixed media piece.
I Started with a piece of Acetate and Stamped a Blue Bird
on it with Black StazOn Ink to ensure it wouldn't smudge.

Next I mixed up some of Terri Sproul's Shimmer Mixer
Tanzanite with 3D Crystal Lacquer I and used the
Applicator Pen Set to assist me in painting

In the another applicator I mixed 3D Crystal Lacquer
with the Garnet Mixer. For each of the other colors
I mixed directly onto my Teflon sheet.

Above I mixed Pink Sapphire and Violet together for the berries on the
branch and used the binder powder.

For the leaves I used Green Mixer and the
chest of the Blue Bird I used Citrine.

Next I stamped two more images and used up
the remaining mixers on my Teflon Craft Mat.

And here they are colored.

Here is my Blue Bird turned over so the stamp is more visible.

Here she is as my focal image.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial  - Have a great day!

Melting Pot Flowers and tags

Dipped my homemade flowers in UTEE

Poured UTEE onto my corset stamp and made a quick easy tag.
I colored the corset with pearl ex. I had words on my stamp or I would have used the shiny side of the UTEE pieces.

Faux Metal

Playing with metal tape from Home Depot, I placed ribbon and
chipboard pieces onto a chipboard foundation. Covered it with
metal tape and I used the tip of my paint brush to make indents for dimension.
I painted it with black acrylic paint and rubbed it off right a way and
then painted it with adirondack gold and silver metallic
paint daubers and also rubbed off.
