Guest Designer on Sin City Stamps Peggy Oliver

Sin City Stamps!

Supplies used today are:
Sin City Stamps
ribbon spool (optional)
Ink
embellishments
acetate
cardstock
Die (TH in this case)
embossing machine
patterned paper
double sided tape
wet glue
double sided foam tape

Hello! Welcome, I want to share with you my passion for mixed media stamps and Sin City Stamps delivers.  Today I am guest appearing for Sin City Stamps by far one of my favorites.

I used double sided tape to adhere my unmounted red rubber background stamp from Sin City Stamps to an old ribbon spool.
I used versafine black ink on my patterned paper. I rolled my stamp onto my paper and also used second and third generation stamping in any empty spots.   Then crinkled it all up and glued it to my plain cardstock.  I let it dry and ran my die and paper through an embossing and cutting machine.
I used Memento black ink for the wings on acetate and cut them out.

I glued my embellishments with foam tape and wet glue  and also attached a chain at the top.

This might just end up on around a nice bottle of wine as a gift.
Thanks for joining me!

Artchain Day 2

It's ‪#‎Artchain‬ Day2 for me today... Thank you Lynne Mizera for nominating me. First off I would like to nominate the talented Ms Barbara Rankin. to put up a photo on Facebook of a crafty item created by her for five days in a row - use Hashtag "Artchain" in her post- and nominate someone else to RIDE THE TRAIN! Here is my offering for Day2
This was hand drawn with pencil first. I tore papers and used matte medium to keep them in place. I used Gelato's, Acrylic Paints and Prismacolor Pencils to color her and the background.  My inspiration comes from here: https://www.youtube.com/user/willowing/about
I can say she is fabulously creative.
Have a Great Day!!

Layering to Create Texture with Sin City Stamps

Hi !  Today I would like to share with you a mixed media journal page. Here is a list of things I used today.

I started off with some tissue and painted it on with acrylic paints.
Here is the result.
The tissue paper really made great texture
I then made circle marks and lines with the opposite end of my paint brush.
Two more colors added.
Here I made use of some stencils with red acrylic paint.
Here I am stamping with acrylic paint. I ran my finger with
paint over the stamp and stamped unmounted.

Here I used the dress forms stamp with Stazon Ink
and then ran that through a hexagonal embossing folder
that I colored with FC Gelato's before running through
my embossing machine. I also added some SinCity
Stamp Wings to my lady using vinyl (tutorial here)
and colored with perfect pearls while the ink was
still wet. I used a head of a lady from G45 and her arms.

These next photo's you can see the texture from the layers of paint and stamps.
*Note* I let all individual layers dry before adding a new layer.

Here is the same DressForm Stamp from SinCity Stamps utilized in
a completely different way for this beautiful card.
Stamped , colored and lace.

Thank you for joining me today! I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.
